 I hate to leave you all hanging...

but to be honest, life has been crazily busy atm and as sad and guilty i feel about this, i really havent had the time to sit down, swatch and review products.. and trust me, theres a ton that i really want to share with you all because they are amazing products!

for those interested in knowing why i have slowly stopped posting as often as i'd like (*eek! sorry. i know its horrible) i actually recently got a new job! Its an accounting office job so while 99% of you may think that is super boring, i actually fall in the crazy 1% who enjoys it more than i should lol :) *nerd face*

haha but to be honest, im not enjoying it JUST because im the biggest. nerd. ever. surprising? haha no, its really because:

a) i have just started my new job so everything is still really new and amazing

b) i am meeting all kinds of lovely amazing people

c) i can kinda sorta play "dress-up" every morning as i absolutely ADORE business casual outfits <3

d) i now have a paycheck which equals more shopping for more outfits & makeup <3

e) my office is right across from a mall. so yup! thats right, my paycheck's gone before i get it! ;)

lol so all in all, life's been good! but on top of a full time job, im also taking an online course. which really makes things difficult! i originally took the course so i wouldnt be sitting around (this was BEFORE i got the job).. and now im going crazy trying to make days last longer so i have enough time to fit everything in! haha 

anyways, sorry to bore you all with all thats happening! I promise once i get some free time, i will swatch everything like crazy and sneak in posts here and there! Please bear with me for a bit! But until then, i hope you all are having a wonderful fall :) xoxo!

Tweet Best Present EVER from the BF ♥

So, not sure if you knew, but my 21st birthday just passed not that long ago... and i have to say, this year's present from my bf was literally the BEST present i ever got!! :D and im sure it'll be preeettty hard to top in the years to come lol

A few christmas's back, i decided to get several smaller items for my bf rather than one bigger present. instead of just giving him all the presents at once, i decided to make a scavenger hunt :D making up silly clues with rhyming phrases, i had a ton of fun putting it together and im sure he had just as much fun finding and opening his presents.. well, ever since that year, its been kind of a tradition for me to do a scavenger hunt for his birthday & xmas..

This year, he decided to surprise me with a scavenger hunt of my own!! I was sooooooo excited for it and soooo pumped to start it :) of course, i had to wait till after school, and since my birthday decided to land on a day where i had school from 2-5pm, i had a long time to wait :( .. but it was SOOO worth it!

I wont go into all the details, but it was so much fun running around the house trying to find my presents lol, he ended up wrapping and hiding TEN PRESENTS!! *yay* i'll share with you guys some of the goodies he got me ^^

firstly, BEST BIRTHDAY CARD EVERRRRRR! haha <3 i love hello kitty!! and the size of this card was HUGE! im a sucker for big birthday cardsss <3

this card is literally double the size of other cards! LOVEE!

along with the card, some hello kitty chocolates ^^ yum yum and i love the box! haha

then here comes the part with the new goodies i get to play with and review!! :D

you guys know how much i love MAC, but you probably also know how LITTLE MAC products i own haha, thats cause they're usually way to pricey for me and i end up restraining myself from going into the store just so i wont leave with nothing left in my bank account lol.

anyways, my bf was super sweet to go into MAC all by himself and actually pick out the goodies i've been wanting since forever!! just the fact that he went in there to get me something is super sweet, but the fact that he got me the things i love make it that much better :)

also, i promised him i wouldnt spend so much on makeup this year (after my birthday) lol i gotta stick with my new years resolution and restrain myself from buying stuff i wont use :(

anyways, onto the goodies!!

yay :) finally get to try this! my skins been pretty dry lately.. reacting to some acne cream i tried :( sucks... the pimples may be slowly going away, but my face is constantly red and irritated! so mad :( .. but on the good side, i am soo excited to test out this product!

After purchasing dalliance from my birthday haul, i was so impressed with the pigmentation and quality and SIZE of the product. i had swatched the above two in stores as well and loveeeed them. although i really couldnt bear to spend so much on them.. which is why i feel extra bad that he got these for me! but of course, i love them so much :) so thanks so much baby <3

New books to read! YAY!!!! i've been dying to read some new books and since school's starting again, i really wanted some new books since i feel i do better when i read :P i saw several bloggers had recommended this series (Thanks Pammy!!!) and i think i mightve mentioned the name to my bf maybe once.. but i was so surprised he remembered and even got me the first 3 books of the series :) :) <3.

and to go along with the books, a new bookmark for mee *yay*

btw, i LOVED the movie tangled! it was soooo goood! if you havent watched it yet but love disney movies, you HAVE TO HAVE TO watch it! i have to admit.. i cried during some parts! lolol

He also got me random cute things that i love :) i wont post all of them, but heres a few!

pretty flower candle holder with tea lights that when lit, has a purple flame! soooo coooool!! (btw, i also loveee purple hehe)

omg haha you probably think im so childish and all but i loveeed this! haha i used to be a huge pokemon nerd (c'mon.. im sure we all were at least once!) and probably still am today LOL i've seen these pokeballs at toys'r'us before (where they have the little toy that pops out LOL) but i've never seen one in PINK!! plus its got a heart on it!! what more can i ask for! haha <3 <3

last one i'll share with you all..

is this really pretty ring holder! it is soo super cute and exactly what i needed. i have collected quite a bit of rings, and im sure you've all seen how i organized them lately (link here) but sometimes when im in a hurry in the morning, i just dont have time to go through my organizers to find a ring i want! so having this on my table or bedside will make my life SO much easier :) i'll be keeping my fav rings on here so i can grab them quickly everyday :) <3

Now do you agree that this has got to be the best present eveeerr? haha i know none of the presents were anything major, but thats exactly what i love about it. each present had such thought behind them and along with the scavenger hunt clues, i am sure he spent a lot of effort :) baby if you're reading this, thanks SOOO much !! i loved every single bit and part of it <3

Tweet Happy 'Belated' Halloween!

Hey everyone :) how was your halloween? im sorry i didnt get the chance to post up any halloween related posts because while it was halloween 'week' for kids and all, the past 2 (and upcoming) week are midterm weeks for us :( boooooo.... and since i had so much school stuff going on, i didnt even have time to go out and search for a nice halloween costume like i did last year!


well.. a couple of my girlfriends and i did some SUPER last minute halloween costume shopping (we were planning to just have a bunch of people over for a house party, but we decided to go clubbing super last minute) so... we picked up and created the fastest cheap costume ever. :) and i loved it!


we picked up some ladybug wings for about $10, and some fishnet tights for i think $5... threw on a nice little black dress, add some red/gold heels and ta-da! we were done with our costume hahaha.. i know its nothing special and all, but i was pretty proud of our last minute costume :) here are some pics from the night!

too bad you cant see the tights in these pictures hahaha they were pretty sweet. apart from being fishnet, they also had a fluffy garter-ish ring around the thighs.. slutty much? ;) haha halloween's the only time in the year haha but anyways, i hope you all had a great (and safe!) halloween! what did you do? what were your costumes like? please share :D

Tweet Help :( Server Rejected, Cant Post Pictures!

I dont know whats gotten into my blogger account! I cant seem to upload any new pictures! :( :( everytime i try, i keep getting an error saying "server rejected". because of this, i have to push back my Burts Bee's update on how their cleanser and spot treatment has been working for me and i am so mad >:(! If anyone else is experiencing this issue or know how to fix it, please let me know! I really want to get the review up and going because i was quite taken aback with these products and want to share it with all of you!

I am sorry to disappoint if anyone was really looking for the review.. but im going to try to get those pictures to work... worst case scenario, i will post the review without the pictures (although it wouldnt be as good) and just re-upload the pictures later when the system does work.... what do you think? :(

Tweet Whats in My Bag - Back To School Edition!

I will be officially starting my 4th and final year at the University of Calgary and i have to admit, i am a bit excited! These past few years flew by so fast, and i cant believe i`m finally on my last year.. Im excited to be done, but at the same time, im scared to have to face the fact that im growing up and done school forever... anyone else in this stage?

Anyways, since im packing up stuff for school, i thought i might share with you what i normally bring to school. So here is a "whats in my bag" but a school edition :)

first off, here is my school bag. i purchased this recently from forever 21 because since i only have 6 courses left (3 courses a sem) i wont have to haul around too many books. This bag is sturdy but cute :)

i loveee the braided handles! theres also a few pockets in the front and back which have super cute dangles on them as well :)

of course, theres the usual inside pockets, one in the back and two in the front

and now for the inside!

firstly, i love using notebooks.. i much rather study from my handwritten notes rather than typed up notes because all that staring into the cpu screen hurts my eyes. i also keep fun duotangs so that i can keep all those handouts organized!

this here is a folder organizer/clipboard like thing... haha it used to hold a pad of lined paper inside, but i think i mightve used it up hence my ghetto paper clips holding lined paper :p Im debating if i should use this or switch to a binder.. it really depends on the lectures so i guess i'll find out soon!

depending on the lectures again, i may need to bring a laptop. For the past year, i've been using a tiny netbook :) i love this thing! i used to have a chunky laptop and although it was great and had tons of functions, all i really needed was something with microsoft word or powerpoint so that i could type up notes etc. This one was perfect since its very compact and light :)

Of course, we all need pencils, pens and highlighters! I loveeeeee stationary stuff so of course, my pencil case is jammed pack with all different types of stuff! I keep a variety of pencils, pens, highlighters and colored pens because i like to color code my notes so that they're all pretty when it comes time for studying. haha i also like to keep some post it tabs or paper clips in case i need to make note of something important. and the main thing in my pencil case.. is my usb stick :) this holds all my important files and documents that i need so i know i have everything i need when i need it!

since i dont like to carry around an extra purse when i go to school, i just throw my makeup bag and my wallet into my school bag so that i have my essentials in case something comes up!

ohh.. and i always like to keep a water bottle and some snacks on me. I get hungry often and snacks are perfect for either in between, or during lectures! I also recently picked up this super cute utensils set from bed, bath and beyond!

basically, it includes two "base" sticks... then a spoon, knife, fork and chopsticks. All you have to do is take the one you need and attach it onto the base sticks! I love this :) Because im a clean freak when it comes eating, i always need to have utensils!! So this is perfect for me :) pluss, it comes in pink and has a super cute but compact case! yay!

okayy.. so thats whats in my bag! items missing from above include my iphone, headphones etc etc.. but i didnt photograph those cause im sure you know what they look like! So anyone else starting school tmr? Excited or nervous? I think i've gotten past the "first-year-nervousness" and kinda dread the intense workload we'll be getting shortly.... :( oh well, hope you all have a great first day back! :D

Hi everyone! I am finally back from my vacation! If you dont know already, this past week i was on a mexican riviera cruise with my bf and 2 other friends. It was super fun (and tiring) and we ate tons and tons of yummmy food. (seriously, it was an all inclusive cruise so we had to make our money worth it! and the best way to do that.. was by stuffing ourselves :D :D) 

anyways, thank you to those who have kept following and reading throughout my time of absence and hello to all my new followers! :D i have a lot to unpack and alot of pictures to share with everyone but i will get right back onto posting very shortly! for now... i'll just tempt you guys with some pictures from my cruise ;) enjoy!

as you all might've seen my "what to pack - travel makeup" post.. i brought quite a bit with me. thats cause i like to have my choices and options open. but to tell you the truth, i barely used half of it. trust me, if you're planning on going on a cruise anytime in the near future, you dont need much makeup. you'll be more busy watching shows, eating late night snacks, staying up late and waking up early... and you wont have time or the patience to sit and do your makeup. so just bring your essentials! like foundation, eyeliner, mascara and blush.. i think thats all i used this trip haha. ohh, i used a bit of eyeshadow for formal nights but thats about it. this was my first cruise so i totally didnt know and learned the hard way, but for anyone who's going to go on one sometime soon.. just pack essentials! it'll be all you need :)
