ELF Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil Swatches!

Since i've been looking through ELF's website for awhile now instead of concentrating on studying :( i thought i might as well throw up some of the swatches for their "new" shimmer eyeliner pencils! I got these with my last haul and i forgot to review them until now... opps!

But here is a quick swatch of the 6 colors i got :) i will be doing a full review and posting that up shortly! (btw.. i am also giving away TWO of these eyeliners in my giveaway! So if you havent already, go check it out and enter to win! There will be THREE winners chosen! :D)

it is quite soft.. so far, i found that it applies very creamy so definately no tugging at all. However, it is lacking slightly in wear time although i am going to test it out tmr with some sort of primer or eyeshadow to set it... :) full review up soon!

I' ve been wanting to buy these but I heard they are as soft as the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils and those fade + crease really bad. Would these stay on as an eyeliner without anything above or below it?

Would appreciate a reply back at my blog as I rarely check back for replies >_<

I have one of these pencils in Plum passion. It is soft and easy to glide on. I tried it on the water line but it actually does not stay on for long. I have oily lids, and folded lids, so the color do not stay on long since it will get smudge or transfer on to the crease and form that very ugly curve. I don't have UUDP so I cannot be sure if the primer will help this stay long. I tried this with the Eye Primer from Elf and it does not work. I tried it with the Mineral eyeshadow primer from ELF and it works a bit better. It might work well with others, I love the pigmentation and the texture, sadly, it just does not work on Asian lids like mine. The best way is to set this liner with shadow. It can act as a good base for ur eyeshadows to adhere on. I don't think it will cause creasing that bad.

hmmm.. thanks for your input nancy! i didnt realize how different this could be on other people but thank you for letting me know. So far, i have found that it doesnt crease on me but the liner does tend to fade and smudge slightly near the end of the day. I am going to test it with a primer or eyeshadow tmr or within the next day or two and hopefully i'll get better results! thanks again :D :D

for sure isabel! i will post a reply here and there just in case anyone else was wondering the same thing. :) so far, i have found that they are indeed very soft (pretty similar softness compared to NYX jumbo pencils) but i do believe these are much better as they dont crease (on me at least) and have lasted me slightly longer, till i'd say around dinner time-ish depending on how much activity i do during the day. With the NYX pencils, i found that some colors tend to disappear almost immediately after blending. Even though the ELF pencils are indeed lacking in wear time, i would say that it does have a much better wear time than NYX. Of course, with the help of a primer or eyeshadow, it would last much longer :) hope this helps! but if not, i will be posting a complete review shortly (once i fully test these out) so you can keep watching for that! :D

Very pretty colors. They look a lot like UD 24/7 and Sephora's Flashy liners.

indeed they do! thanks for reminding me angel! i dont have the UD liners but i do have one of sephoras flashy liners, so i can post a comparison of that in my review :) thank youu!

These are so pretty! I need to make an Elf order already >< that purple is so nice, and it's very hard to find a good purple liner.

haha it is indeed! although i have my eye on UD's rockstar... that purple liner looks AAAMAAZING! haha of course, this would be a much cheaper alternative! $1? stealllllll :D <3 hope you find what you're looking for!

i love finding cheap dupes! haha grassy green is exactly how i wouldve imagined it to be before purchasing it. i love how its perfect for adding a pop of color into your look without overdoing it :)
