FOTD using The Body Shop Eyeshadow Palette

Just a quick look I pulled together..

This look was done using my new eyeshadow palette from the body shop "Brush with Fashion" collection which i recently reviewed. I used all four colors from the palette.. taking the shimmery pink all over the lid, the shimmery white in inner corners and to highlight, the silver in the crease and the matte black in the outer corners. I also smudged the matte black shade onto my lashline instead of using an eyeliner, this gives a less defined look.

I kind of like the ending result! it isnt your everyday eye look type since most of the shades are very shimmery, but for a special date or fun occasion, this would definitely be nice :) and of course, keep the palette in your purse and then all you need to do with amp up the corners with the silver and black and you can easily transform your day look into a night look :)

btw... please excuse my heavy bags.... this is what 4 years of university did to me haha

i hope you liked it as much as i did! this is probably what i'll be wearing during some parts of my grad trip! :D for a look more suitable for daily wearing, i like to use just the shimmery pink and white shades.. just to brighten up my eyes :) that will probably be what i wear most, i'll get you guys a picture of that look when i come back :) until then, have a wonderful summer!

MAC FOTD - Prance & Satin Taupe

Hi everyone :)

So ive been getting alot of requests to put up some FOTDs and EOTDs showing how i used my new MAC eyeshadows :) as well, there have been some requests for a before and after picture using MAC Fix + ! So i thought i might as well kill two birds with one stone, and do them both in one post :)

So for today, i decided to use two MAC eyeshadows to create a very very subtle look. i was heading to school and didnt want anything too dramatic. As a result, i didnt use a primer, but just a concealer as a base. In addition, i also blended throughly so that the colors were very soft and more suitable for school.

During...
You could spray this on and leave it to dry, but i find that it will be slightly uneven because the more concentrated areas will look more shiny .. therefore, i like to use a duo fibre stippling brush to distribute the product evenly

after MAC Fix +

after MAC Fix +

There isnt a huge noticeable difference, especially in pictures lol.. but in reality, i really do feel a lot more refreshed, as if i wasnt wearing too much makeup or powder. Plus, i think after using MAC Fix +, my makeup looks more smooth and softened, kind of combining the powder & foundation together so it looks more natural.

Eyeshadows used:

Prance in center of lid and in tear duct area
Satin Taupe around Prance (both outer and inner corners) and to line

i will be posting more EOTD and FOTD soon using the other shades i got from MAC :) but for now, i hope you enjoyed today's post and have a good day!

-------------------------------------------

p.s. i did this look again today, except instead of bringing satin taupe into the inner corners, i just left it in the outer corners. i loved the result! not too heavy but great for an everyday look :) i think i'll be wearing this Prance-Satin Taupe combo very often!!

Living Doll + Honeymoon = ♥

So i recently reviewed two of Hard Candy's blushes in the shades Living Doll and Honeymoon. Living doll is a gorgeous baby pink while honeymoon is a light peachy shade that shows up more as a glow/highlight shade for me. So here's a quick post showing what these two look like when combined together :)

i applied living doll lightly on the apples of my cheeks and then applied it heavier along the back end of my cheeks to contour a bit. i then applied honeymoon to the upper apples to really give it a nice glow.

if you look closely.. you can kind of see the peachy color!

note - i did apply these a bit heavier so that they would show up better on camera. the effect and colors are still true to reality, but i would buff it out a bit more so that it doesnt show up as harsh :)

kind of more like this

and a full fotd

i also tried applying just honeymoon and building it up more so that the peachy color slightly shows. I think if you have lighter skin tones, honeymoon would be a gorgeous shade to own. However, for medium to darker skintones, honeymoon's best effect would definately be its light peachy glow :)

A Pop of Color EOTD & Tutorial

Summer's the perfect time to bust out bright and fun colors! But if you're like me and dont wear eyeshadow on a daily basis, sometimes its hard to work in some of those pretty bright colors into our looks! So in my case, i like to wear these colors on my lower lash line. Even though its not as noticeable, it still gives off a very fun, vibrant pop of color!

Achieved using -
Sephora's flashy liner waterproof in flashy blue (08)
Stila's smudgepot in bronze

Full FOTD

Achieved using -
Coastal Scents Gel Liner in Deep Plum
Annabelle Studio Pigment in Karma
Stila's Smudgepot in Bronze

Full FOTD

how to -
Step 1 - line upper lash line with a bronze liner and create a small wing at the end. (you can also use black or brown liners)

step 2 - using a bright color liner (any color of your choice), line your lower lash line starting from the middle and extend it all the way up to the end of your wing. (TIP- if you dont have bright colored eyeliners, you can always substitute with a bright eyeshadow, just wet your brush and apply the same as you would an eyeliner)

step 3 - (optional) - taking a similar color in eyeshadow form, pat the color ontop of your lower lash line in order to keep the color lasting all day long.

step 4 - fix any mistakes or fallout and apply mascara

and you're done!

Hope you enjoyed this quick and simple way of adding a pop of color to your look! Share your ideas and colors in the comments below!
